Life can sometimes feel heavy - anxiety, loss, shame, health or identity struggles or past trauma may leave you feeling disconnected or unsure where to turn. Counselling offers a calm, supportive space to explore what you're going through and begin to find steadiness, meaning and ease again.
About me and my practice
You might be feeling anxious, lost, or stuck. Perhaps you're overwhelmed by fear or worry, struggling to leave the house, or caught in constant overthinking that leaves you exhausted. You may feel weighed down by guilt, shame, or self-blame, or find it hard to like yourself no matter how much you try.
Maybe you're living with sadness or grief that feels unending, tears that come without warning, or a heaviness that makes even small things feel too much. You might be coming to terms with a major loss, a change in health or the impact of a disability. Or perhaps you feel confused or unsettled about your identity, uncertain of where you belong or who you are becoming.
You may also be finding it difficult to break free from habits or addictions that once offered comfort but now bring more distress than relief. Relationship struggles, whether in a partnership, family, or friendship, might leave you feeling isolated, misunderstood, or repeating painful patterns. For some, the effects of past trauma continue to effect everyday life, showing up as anxiety, anger, numbness or a sense of disconnection from life.
However you are feeling, you don't have to go through it alone. Counselling can offer a supportive space to make sense of your emotions, understand their roots, and begin to find steadiness, meaning and ease again. My role is to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your own capacity for clarity, balance and growth.
As an integrative counsellor, I offer a calm and reflective space where you can explore whats happening for you, without judgement, and at your own pace. My approach combines several therapeutic perspectives to meet your unique needs. Alongside my counselling training, I also draw on my background in philosophy and mindfulness teaching, which brings a holistic and grounded quality to my work.
Experience
While every persons journey is different, I draw from several complementary approaches that help you reconnect with your natural capacity for clarity, ease, and healing.
Person-Centred - Creating the Conditions for Growth
At the heart of therapy is the relationship itself. I offer warmth, empathy and genuine understanding so you can feel safe, accepted, and free to explore whatever you need. When you feel truly heard and understood, change begins naturally.
Mindfulness-Based - Cultivating Awareness and Letting Go
Mindfulness helps you meet your experiences with presence rather than resistance. Instead of trying to fix thoughts or feelings, you learn to observe them with curiosity and compassion, allowing emotions to move through more freely. Over time, you may find more calm, perspective and space to breathe.
Psychosynthesis - Integrating the Many Parts of the Self
You may sometimes feel pulled in different directions, as though parts of you are in conflict. Counselling can help these parts find voice and understanding so your inner world feels less conflicted. Psychosynthesis also supports you in connecting with a deeper sense of self a steady awareness beneath everyday thoughts and emotions.
Existential - Living with Meaning and Authenticity
This approach invites reflection on the larger questions that shape your life: purpose, freedom, belonging, mortality. It helps you face uncertainty with courage and make choices that feel true to your values and what really matters to you.
Relational - Healing Through Connection
Much of our pain arises in relationships, and much of our healing happens there too. The therapeutic relationship offers a safe space to explore how you relate to others and to yourself. With greater awareness and compassion, old patterns can shift, allowing new ways of being to emerge.
If you're ready to begin a process of self exploration with someone who is passionate about this process, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you.

Initial Consultation
I offer a half-price initial session so we can see how well we might work together. This first session is a chance for you to share what has brought you to counselling, discuss your goals and explore any challenges you're facing. I'll also guide you through the counselling agreement, explain everything in plain language and answer any questions so you feel comfortable and informed. The focus of the session is on creating a safe, supportive space where you can be heard and understood.
